What's going on everybody? Welcome to the podcast. This your host, Black Boy J. And I'd like to thank this special guest that we got on tonight, our special episode, Ms. Bulmaa. Can you let the people know who don't already know you, who you are? Yes. Hi, everyone. I go by Blvck Bulmaa. I am a Dragon Ball enthusiast. I talk everything Dragon Ball from news to what ifs to gaming content to old DBZ to Daima to movies. I'm basically just a Dragon Ball content creator who just enjoys, you know, talking about the series and giving my what ifs and just, you know, basically talking to everybody about. the series and keeping it alive basically. Okay, okay. So coming up, what made you fall in love with Dragon Ball or just anime in general? I guess it really was just anime in general. Like when I was growing up, I never was like, my God, like I love Dragon Ball. Like I feel like when I was younger, it really was just like an anime thing. I would just watch with my brothers and I just grew to love it. I love the action. I love the fight scenes. I love, just the anticipation for new episodes and just everything that kind of came with that. And you know, I grew up loving Shonen, but I've had other anime that I've loved outside of his slice of life, things like that. I wouldn't really say Dragon Ball per say was something that I just like fell in love with. I feel like it was just anime in general that kind of just made me love, you know, Dragon Ball today. So. Yeah. okay. Dragon Ball series are you more into? I mean, all of them are great, but what Dragon Ball series are you in tune with? Like your all-time favorite? I don't really necessarily have a favorite, like, I always say Dragon Ball Z has a special place in my heart because I feel like when it comes to thinking about how like me growing up and what I connected with most, it would definitely be Dragon Ball Z. And I feel like a lot of people can kind of say that same thing because Dragon Ball Z is such a popular park in a lot of people's childhood. Dragon Ball is definitely one that is my favorite, but I love Dragon Ball Super. I love Dragon Ball GT. I love Daima. I love OG Dragon Ball. I love the movies. So I don't really say it's like a specific one that's like my fave, but I feel like when it comes to like something, art that I feel like I've connected with, like on a deeper level because it reminds me of... You know, my childhood, it'll definitely be Dragon Ball Z. Okay, What, so when it came down to you growing up watching Dragon Ball Z, for example, right? What was that particular moment that made you be like, cause it's obvious your name is Bulma for a reason. So we already know who your favorite character is, but it's just what that one scene, if you can remember about Bulma, which made you be like, you know what? I'ma go buy his Bulma. Well, Bulma is actually not my favorite Dragon Ball character. It's Goku. Yeah, so I just use Bulma for a multitude of reasons. Number one, because I love how smart and innovative she is and how she kind of tries her best to help. Even though she's not like strong or an alien or Super Saiyan, you know what mean? I feel like she still tries to find ways to in her way. to help the Z fighters protect Earth. She's some not so good things, but I feel like she's done what she could to kind of protect the Earth in a way that she could. But no, my favorite character is Goku. I love Goku. And I think the thing I love the most about Goku is what he stands for more so like never. I mean, there's a lot of MCs that have that never giving up type of thing, but I feel like with Goku, like he's been through like so many things and you know what I mean? Like, and even like facing challenges, he just keeps going. and the other thing I love about him is that like he always try to find new opportunities to grow. Like even if it's, you know, fighting a new enemy or. just kind of just being him, you know, I just feel like Goku really does like, he's just like that original essence character of growth and trying to find new opportunities even in spaces he's never even been in. So I feel like Goku was definitely like the epitome of never giving up. I mean, especially since you you take it in this essence where we seen Goku grow up ever since the Dragon Ball arc You know, so why not let him be your favorite? You know character because we seen so much character development within him It's hard not to like him. know I'm saying but Good deal. I like that cuz I love Goku as well. And I hate the fact that everybody says that this man is a bad dad or you know he's got his will of getting more like stronger only because of Bardock making that wish to the Namekian which I think is total bull crap but you know at the same time it's like hey this if you really know the the essence of a Saiyan you know they willpower is to get stronger you know I'm saying they always love fighting so fighting is something they do which makes sense for them to get stronger but you know, people gonna hate on Goku but at the of the day it's all good. But you know, how you... Oh yeah, most definitely. Most definitely. So how do you feel about the evolution of Goku and Vegeta relationship throughout the series? I think that is that typical rival thing. But the thing with Goku and Vegeta, instead of them having a typical, I want to be better than you, you're better than me, which they have, I feel like with Goku and Vegeta, them starting off as enemies and Goku sparing Vegeta kind of just gave that presence of, you know that the future was going to be about both of them challenging each other, seeing as though. They're both Saiyans. Goku never really met another Saiyan until his brother and, you know, Vegeta and Nappa. But other than that, I feel like I love the evolution of the two. They kind of, they really, they literally went from, you know, hero versus enemy to now kind of just protecting each other, fighting together. And, you know, just, you know, Vegeta becoming a father, Goku becoming, you know, a grandfather. Just seeing how they kind of interact with each other and how they, how their evolution of like their interactions with each other, where Vegeta is becoming a little bit more soft and Goku's kind of adapting behaviors that counteract Vegeta in a way. So, I think Vegeta is very good for Goku's character and vice versa, because, you know, obviously Vegeta is who he is right now because of a lot of things that Goku has kind of pushed him to be. So. There's a lot of complexities with their relationship, like, know, rivalry, but I feel like as we continue to watch Dragon Ball and just see how they become, you know, they've been moments where they fought together. I really love that for Dragon Ball and, you know, for Go Penvedita. Okay, okay. So what's your thoughts on roles of a side character like Piccolo, Krilla, and Yamcha? Um, I feel like when it comes to being a side character, like you just play your role, you know what I mean? Like, um, I think because of how long Dragon Ball has been out, a lot of people are wanting all of these side characters to be or get the same amount of tension that Goku would get. And while they have like just so many characters, I've had their moments, but I feel like Side characters are more support characters. They're not supposed to be in the spotlight You know what I mean? Like and if they are it's only for the brief of a moment Expecting every arc you see Piccolo fighting the bad guy and winning or Tien fighting and winning and Gohan fighting and winning It really just takes away from the fact that Goku is the leading character in his anime because Dragon Ball is the story of Goku and I think a lot of people lost that you know what I mean because Vegeta so popular because Gohan's so popular and Piccolo's so popular, people forget the fact that the Dragon Ball is the story of Goku. So I think a side character is only supposed to play their role in the anime and supporting the main character. No matter what position they're in, whether they're an antagonist side character or a protagonist side character, you're never supposed to overshadow the main character. Well, not for a long time, though. And that's crazy because that was actually my next questions I was gonna ask you. Where do you think they've been overshadowed by this? Like, do you think the side character has been overshadowed by the same? Do I think repeat the question again? do you think the side character's been overshadowed by the scenes? I mean, I feel like that's only natural because if you mean like side characters like Yamcha, Tien, Poir, Master Roshi, yeah, they're naturally going to be like on the bench or on the bleachers because the Saiyans are beings that have limitless potential. Like they can reach their peak of power and then be introduced to a new power and then adapt. and gain a form of that power that they've been introduced to. to say like, I mean, regular side characters have been getting overshadowed by Saiyan since OG Dragon Ball. Like if you think about Krillin and Goku training with Master Oshi, there was a clear difference in power and capabilities between Goku and Krillin. So I feel like a lot of people complain about this stuff. later on because it's like why can't Tien or Yamcha get God ki or be strong with Goku and Vegeta because it's impossible it's so unnatural even though anime is has concepts of things that are so unnatural i feel like it would be super unnatural for characters like Tien and Yamcha and Quar to be able to gain God ki and compete with Goku and Vegeta it makes sense with Piccolo because he's fused with a god It makes sense for Gohan because he is a half-blooded Saiyan that even early Z-Saga we saw his potential. But like those type of humanoid-like type characters like Yamcha and Tien, feel like, you know, they have the potential of... They have their max potential, but honestly, them getting overshadowed by Saiyans have been since the beginning of the anime. So I don't know what's different now. Yeah, exactly. So do you, in your opinion, right, how do you feel about all these transformations that we done seen since the early Dragon Ball Z? I love it. I love every transformation we get. The only thing I wish is that we have more time to explore it. Like I've never had a problem with blue or God or ultra instinct ego, beast, orange. I've never had no problem with all of these transformations that we're getting. It's not the transformation, it's the... We're not getting a lot of lore behind it, right? Because when we got the Super Saiyan transformation, there was a... build up for it. saw it in talks and Frieza being intimidated by it and Vegeta wanting to achieve it, thinking he already had it. So it was a build up to it, you know what I mean? So because a lot of the transformations now, especially specifically in Dragon Ball Super, it's really just kind of like we're giving them a transformation, they're using it and then that's it and then we go on to the next one. And even though I have no problem with it, sometimes it can be convoluted a little bit. Maybe if I'm using the same word where it's just not like it's not appreciated anymore if we just keep throwing them out. You know what I mean? Like it's not like it's not going to be like, oh my God, we're getting a new transformation. It's just like, oh, another transformation. You know what mean? So now that Goku has ultra instinct, I hope that he keeps that for a while. Now that Gohan has his beast form, I hope he capitalizes off of that and whatever techniques come with that. And just, you know, for everyone else who has their new forms or whatever they get, I'm hoping that we can just, in Dragon Ball, just kind of, you know, just get more lore behind it and techniques with it instead of just jumping to the next one. Okay. So. by you being in the Dragon Ball universe and as a fan, how does this kind of come to when you're creating your content for your platform? Like my thought process. process. Oh, I mean, honestly, creative process is very random. I don't ever have no structure to what I do. And opposed to like, like time, you know what I mean? Like my creativeness just comes so randomly. I'll be sitting here like reading or just like watching YouTube and then I'll just have a dragonball idea will come in my head and I'll just make it come to life. It's very random. It's not like. Sometimes I'll sit and brainstorm ideas or see what's the most popular thing people are talking about right now when it comes to Dragon Ball and I'll make content surrounding around that. That's easy. But when it comes to more of my creative type posts, it really is just random. Honestly, just randomly thinking of things and turning them into posts. Yeah. Okay. So do you, I don't know if you can recall your very first post that you did, but like, what was it like the feeling that you got when you created that post? came from your, your, I guess your imagination, right? And you're posting it. How did you feel when you saw that people were just like, entertained by it they were like, okay, we need more, we need more. I don't remember my first post. think it had to be like a tweet because before I was making actually detailed posts like I do now and it's still actually up. think I think I was posting a lot of my tweets before it called X, you know, Twitter. We're going to we're going to be in an age where you call it Twitter and people will not know what you're talking about. And I hate that. But yeah, I was posting my tweets because I would have like a real hot take on Twitter. And then I was screen-shotted and I would make it a post on Instagram and Facebook and all that stuff. And some of it would go viral. Like some of it, I mean, it depends on what you mean by viral. Like it would get like a hundred or two hundred likes. To me, that was viral because I was not getting like no likes. But it was going crazy. I had people sharing stuff in their groups. And honestly, it was a great feeling just Um, seeing people share my stuff and just, um, interact with it, whether it was negative or positive. Um, I just love the fact that people were just sharing, sharing an idea or a thought that I created from my brain. You know what I mean? Like it's a very great feeling when you sit and work hard on something, or even if you do minimal effort on something and just people just sharing it, giving their hot takes or their thoughts or. on it. So I would say it was a really good feeling, know, even though just like me typing on Twitter, it was still something, you know. Okay, okay. I mean, you know, looking at your, like going at your pages, right? And looking at your progress on how you attack your posts and how you, the formula that you're using is incredible, by the way. I just want to let you know that. And it's just amazing that, you know, you built such a fan base around your content and people look up to you to the point where they, Like you got some people who worship you. I mean, wow. But that drive and longevity and you know, doing your content and posting and posting and posting, it shows the hard work that you put in into your craft. And you know, that's an amazing thing, especially for a color woman. You know what saying? But, quick. question. So when you're doing collaborations, far as not just podcasting, but just, you know, in general, what is the ins and outs, far as you know, of professionalism that you look for? So I don't really do collabs like that. I've done, I mean, I guess maybe for promo, I've done collaborations, but that was really just kind of paid promo, me kind of just helping businesses and brands showcase their products or whatever like that. But when it comes to actual promo of my content with another person, I don't work with anyone. Catch. and that is more of a choice that I made because, number one, I have not been blessed enough to work with people. Well, I've not, well, let me see, cause I've had people I've worked with and they were cool, but I've not, I've had too much, common issues with people who don't respect my time or the effort I put into my brand. And I feel like if you're not really. on the same wavelength as me, then I can, I'm not gonna waste my time. My time is probably one of the most important things to me, especially when it comes to black woman. And if you don't respect that, if you don't understand how important that is, and I can't work with you because I can't, it's one thing if I do something to detriment my brand, but to put my brand in somebody else's hands. I just can't do it. I just I'm very, very particular who I collab with or work with because I do not want my brand tarnished by people who don't take me serious or take what I do seriously. So I expect a very high level of professionalism when someone's working with me. Cross your eyes, got your T's, understand my time and be very professional because While I am talking about an anime slash cartoon, my brand is a business to me and I hold that to the highest regards. So I hope that the people that I'm working with also respect that as well. Gotcha. I mean, I totally understand 125 % because, you know, being a business on an outside of content creation, you know, it's just a simple fact. You value your time because if anything, nobody can take nothing from you, but your time. And that's the most crucial thing that somebody can take from you because you could be doing something else, making money. You know what I'm saying? So it's to the point where I'm starting to see that in a lot of content creators where they kind of shy away from collaborations or just even doing, cause it's not that many genuine people anymore in this world at all. You know, everybody is out for nickel and diamond and it's to the point where you're not actually doing it for the love of whatever content you're doing at that particular time. So it's like, you know, Seeing that is a scary thing, especially when it involves people getting too close to you, as as like in your personal space, you know what saying? But I'm greatly appreciated for you to even consider coming on for tonight's episode. you know, hopefully I did so much professionalism for you. Yeah. No, it's definitely, I don't mind going, just, I don't know if, I think you were in my live when I was talking about it where I said I won't be doing any more podcasts in 2025 because, because the level of, yeah, the level of professionalism that I've dealt with was at an all time low. And I just can't, you know what I mean? Like I just, feel like why wasting my time with people who don't really take me, I feel like, I have this thing where I feel like you're not taking me seriously. If I'm asking somebody to do something for me or and they volunteer, they're a top priority. I want make sure they know what's going on, what's happening, how we're going to do this. But it's just the certain people that I've podcast, I've been on very, very ghetto. Some of them didn't even barely know who I was. I'm just like, why am I here? I'm like, I was getting asked questions that had nothing to do with Black Bulma or what I do, or you didn't even know who I was or look up who I am. So that stuff like that, I just don't want to involve myself in. You know what mean? Because I feel like you need to do the research and understand the guests should be doing as minimal work as possible. They should just be speaking. Yeah, I feel like, you know, when it comes to that, you know, I just feel like I don't have time for it. I don't. So plus I have my own podcast. So if I want to, yeah, I've been talking about some I'm just talking about on my own podcast. Exactly. mean, it's not hard at all to just pick up a mic and be in front of a camera. will be my last class of the year though, so. okay. I'm greatly appreciated. Like I said again, cause you know, this is something that I actually wanted ever since I started watching your content. And you know, of course it's to the point where you need to be at a certain, I'm not saying people will shallow you for having less subscribers or followers or whatever the K may be, but you still want to build that repertoire. So it's to the point where they know that you're you're about your business to the point where, okay, they ain't just joning me. I can just come on and know that they gonna be serious about my time and do what they gotta do to get me in and get me out. But for the brand of Black Bulmaa, what is your goals or what do you see yourself in five years with your brand? I'm gonna ask that quite a few times. Honestly, I really don't know. I just like when I tell you I don't necessarily have goals for Black Bulma. I just know like, I just want to enjoy talking about Dragon Ball with my followers. That's really all I want to do whether, big and famous with millions of followers or I'm exactly where I am right now with my hundreds of thousands of people who love talking to me about Dragon Ball. I'll be complacent. I'll be happy and I won't complain one bit. So right now I feel like I'm at the peak of being a creator. feel like there is other heights I could go to but If it's meant for me, it will come for me. As hard as I work, I feel like it will come. But right now, I do feel like I'm already at my prime. I'm already successful as a creator. My name has been spoken in so many rooms. I've never even walked in before. And I feel like as a creator, that is a huge accomplishment. So I feel like I don't know what's more better than this. I don't know what's better than this. Yup, y'all anime? No, I'm not doing that. That side of the creative side, I can't do. I will have to learn how to be like an animator. That's too much. yeah, like what I do now and the fact that I can just sit and enjoy and talk with my followers and supporters. I don't even like calling them followers. Like talk to my supporters about Dragon Ball. Like I'm extremely grateful and humbled and just love the fact that people just want to tune in and know what I'm talking about. You know what I mean? Because, you know, every creator has that same story about when they first started, they barely had lights or people who was watching them were liking their stuff. And now they're like super huge, with like hundreds of thousands of likes and millions of followers. And, you know what I mean? I feel like I have that same testimony. So I remember when I would post and barely anybody interacted. And now it's like, So many people share my stuff and I've met so many cool people and people so many people know who I am. So I'm grateful. So in five years, I don't know. I just hope I get to continue to still do what I love, which is talk about anime with my supporters. Okay, it's nothing wrong with that because you know, sometimes we fail at trying to place our standards super high and Our goals super high and not be able to reach them. So it's like just creating small milestones is it's the best we can do as content creators and and you you knocking them down like dominoes, so you just so naturally. It happens very naturally, even when I least expect it. It's like, that's why I feel like, you know what I mean? It'd be so much advice. I'd be wanting to tell people that just be sitting here stressing about likes and followers. just like, it'll come. Like, I saw this one quote on Instagram. It was like, somebody's chapter 20 is not sure chapter one. or something like that. Basically, because you'll go on social media and you'll see huge content creators who, as soon as they post, get 5,000 likes in the first minute. And then you sitting here like, damn, I just worked hard on this post and I barely hit 20 likes. You know what mean? I feel like you got to stop letting social media pressure you into thinking that you're supposed to be where they're at right now, even though you just started. You know what I mean? So it's just, it takes time. Like all you have is time, you know, and hope and consistency. So if you have all of that, it'll, it'll come, you know what I mean? So just, I feel like, you know, with me, you know, time has blessed me with the platform that I have right now and the support that I get from so many people. So, and I was just patient and you know, I got to where I am today. Okay, great advice because and that's coming from the words of Bulma everybody so you know take heed to that. So as an anime fan how do you think Dragon Ball influenced other animes throughout the in so many ways. Just the fact that it's influence shown in anime in such an impactful way with just like its power system, character designs, just the risk that Toriyama took with his manga in the anime space. You know what mean? I feel like just even the introduction of transformations, feel like Dragon Ball alone has influenced that in so much anime, not even just Shonen, just like all categories of anime, it's definitely influenced that. And there's a multitude of mangakas who have come out and gave Akira Toriyama his flowers for a lot of the characters that they've created in their own stories. So. While it may not be Goku, you will see aspects of Goku's personality in there, aspects of things you'll see in Dragon Ball and another manga creator's story. So I feel like Dragon Ball has came to the West and just like planted its seed and grew it all throughout where you'll see it in cartoons and comics, video games, other anime. So... I feel like Dragon Ball just has impact, even if it's the smallest thing, it's impacted like so many, so many people's lives, so many people's childhoods and just anime. I just say fiction period, because you and it'll continue to keep on building. No matter how many years have gone past, you'll still see people referencing Dragon Ball. So it's a it's the animators going to go down in history. Well, have our heads already gone down in history? Okay, I feel you on that. What other anime are you interested in right now at this particular moment? I'm not watching any anime right now. I've transitioned from, because I've been watching anime for like the past couple months. So I've transitioned to watching like, I call them real people shows. But anime that I'm kind of interested in right now, I'm reading Free Ren. Free Ren is probably a popular anime that I'm loving right now. Let me think. Kaiju number eight. I love that. one I'm reading that one as well, Spy Family. I want to read Villain Saga. What's the other one? Solo Leveling. Solo Leveling is very good. just watched that. I just finished Demon Slayer. There's like all the mainstream. I'm caught up on My Hero. I read My Hero. Jujutsu Kaisen was an L to me. I didn't like Jujutsu Kaisen anymore. I'm trying to make sure I'm not forgetting anything. da da da. What your takes on that? You don't like it? So many people are coming from me right now because I keep talking about how terrible of an anime that one is and people are just... And see, the thing with me is people are so disrespectful. People are so disrespectful because someone can look me in my face right now and say, Dragon Ball is trash and I would never come at you personally. I'll say that the take is hot garbage. Right? Like I'll say like, no, you're you're not making no sense. I can't speak fiction, but I'm never going to come at you personally. And I feel like when it comes to anime fans, they really don't understand the there's a line there. Right. There's a line like you can you can disagree with somebody without being disrespectful. But anime fans, that's a challenge for them. Like that's that's you know what mean? That's like trying to make them take the Hunter Hunter exams. It's just not going to work. Okay. So, um, I feel like, and for me personally, like to go back to the original topic, I don't like Dandandan simply because of the first episode. Um, it, um, anyone can tell you, um, I hate fan service. I hate, I hate fan service in anime, even if it's the slightest to just plain out. It being smacked in my face. Fan service does nothing for an anime whatsoever. It doesn't like, like if you watch, what's the anime with Elizabeth and the boy that he always, he's always crawling on her and kind of touching all over her. I forget that Seven Deadly Sins. I don't know if you ever watched that, but like, He's always feeling on her and she feels uncomfortable. And even though a slight fan service is like, what is the purpose of having Meliodas always fondling on Elizabeth? Like, what is that serving to the plot except for maybe you're trying to appeal to the male fan base or something? Because, you know, a lot of anime back in the day, I say even now, still try to appeal to men sometimes. And even women still, women like that stuff now, I don't know why. Um, for me, feel like fan service doesn't really do anything for the anime. Even if you're looking for a comedic relief moment, it doesn't have to be, I don't know if I'm allowed to say that S word on how, don't know if this is like a P. Okay. So it doesn't have to be sexualized. You know what mean? Like it doesn't have to have that, you know, the whole rape scene on the first episode of Dandodon. I'm like, what did that serve? Like what? You could have had those robotic men have so many other plans or have the ghouls and the monsters or whatever they are have so many other intentions. Then, yeah, we need to strap you down to this bed with barely anything on. And we all have robotic, you know what? And we need to do this to you. I'm just like, what am I watching here? I had to rewind it back. I'm like, am I hearing what I'm hearing right now? Or did I turn on some type of hentai? Because somebody told me, yeah, you need to watch Dandidao. I had to press Crunchyroll. like, I didn't know Crunchyroll had hentai on here. So it was just like, I can't finish this. I'm not watching this. I told myself I'm not watching this. And then people keep telling me like, just continue on. It's just, it's, they love to say this. It's just the first episode. That's uncomfortable. It's the same way if I watched the movie in the beginning of it was, that horrendous. would have to literally have to stomach myself through something like that because it's so traumatizing. And the thing with me, like, I don't, like I said, I don't like fan service. makes me uncomfortable. Like, you know what I mean? Like watching. Something so gruesome like grueling and something like that. It just it turned me off. I had to turn it off I mean, think about it like this too. You have to approach your, anything you do, you have to approach it far as a standpoint where it's like you meeting a guy for the first time, right? And that guy coming off as awkward or weird or goofy or whatever the case may be to you, that first impression is gonna throw you off. You know what I'm saying? The whole vibe is just not gonna be there. So it's the same thing with movies, anime, video games. If you're not catching my attention in the first 15 minutes and I'm like blah of you, I'm not watching any more of it. I'm sorry. It might be good five episodes down the line, but it just that first episode, just gotta be good. then the thing is, I do have this thing where you can't really say an anime is trash if you haven't watched the whole thing. But I feel like there's special circumstances and I feel like that's one of them. Like if you feel like as a mangaka, you have to start your anime in such a terrifying and gruesome and inappropriate way. And you just can't simply simply us give a story to people without needing to make take such risks like that, then you need to understand that I that I have the right to say that something like that is is dastardly awful. I don't need to see a pass episode one to see if it's good or not. Like that just was a complete turn off of an anime. Right. Because somebody like came at me and was like you're disrespecting the hard work that the manga creator put into creating this anime by judging it off the first episode. I said, well, he shouldn't have ever put that shit in the first episode then. I mean, you, you try to give me this complex answer to why I hate this shit. And that's just simply it. would have, I would have continued watching past episode one if I wasn't watching a little girl get raped. and the little boy get his dick turned off, especially since they're school children. They're school kids. Because again, in this day and age of manga, a lot of anime is set during school time. They're kids. And you know, in America, or I don't know where I'm from, you're still underage when you're in school. I don't think you're graduating till you're like 17, 18. And I don't know what grade they were in, but they looked like minors. So not only am I visually, like imagine you sitting in your room right now, you're sitting in your room wherever you're at and your friend comes over and that one scene of that girl sitting on that table or that chair and those men surrounded around her is on your screen and your friend walked in and saw that. He would probably call the cops. He would call the, he would, he would. If he recorded you doing that, they would be trying to put you on a list. They would be like, are you watching like child, PORN or something? You know what mean? Like it's so uncomfortable to watch. And that's how it is to me. It's so uncomfortable to look at to the point where I don't even want it on my screen. So yeah, that just turned me off to that anime. I just could not do that, honey. See, there's certain, so I love anime, right? But there's certain, like how you put it, there's certain animes that I will not watch only due to the fact that I have a one year old son, right? So I can't just get involved with that type of anime because some animes go too far and it's to the point where they, They love that type of stuff over there in that side of the East. it's like, know, certain things we watch in anime can sometimes be overwhelming to you. And I feel you a hundred percent on that, like on that show. I watched the first episode and I was turned off. So whenever I talk to anybody about, whenever somebody asks me about anime and they come with that dun-da-dun-da. Mm-hmm. tell them like how you said, it's so much you can tolerate, especially when you a parent. So it's like, nah, nah, bro. I can't do that one. That one off a little bit. Yeah, it was just it just wasn't it for me. And honestly, if if I feel like people are trying, I had this thing where I feel like people are trying to normalize hentai. They're trying to incorporate like you can be watching a story about just a really cool shonen or isekai or whatever. And it's just about some boy trying to get stronger. And then for some reason, like a good example of this is Is it Mashoku Tensai or Jobless Reincarnation? I don't know if you ever saw that. Me and my brother talk about that all the time, Jobless Reincarnation. One of the most failures of an anime I've ever watched outside of Promised Neverland. What they did with the main character, I think it's the second or third season, the entirety of the season is him dealing with his ED. Like he can't stand up because he got his heart broken by a woman. But the anime started with him being reincarnated and him practicing magic and him going on adventures with his party. And because he was reincarnated from this loser basement dweller dude who never talked to a woman in his life, now that he finally got some affection as a little boy, which is already an uncomfortable thing, see. I don't know if it was the second or third season, I forget, but I think it was the second season. He got his heart broke because the girl left him after they... I can't even explain it, but he basically, the whole entirety of the season was him trying to deal with his ED. Literally, that's what it was about. And it was so uncomfortable to watch. It was so uncomfortable to muster through. And that's how I feel like... We're trying, I feel like they're trying to normalize to such uncomfortable things in anime right now. And then people are justifying it. I feel like that's the part that kind of gets me. Like if I'm telling you I'm uncomfortable with seeing a little boy, a little boy, he's a little boy, Rudeus is a little boy having problems with his, you feel me? It's, can't do it, honey. You can give me whatever argument you want to. And I'm a mother, okay? You can give me whatever argument you want to. I do not care about what happens or what is going on with a little boy's thing. That is, you're on a thin line between normality and pedophilia. You know what mean? And I don't want to cross that line with y'all. Y'all can jump over there and have fun in your pedophilia parties, but I'm going to stay over the normal side and watch normal anime that don't do things like that. So. So let's get to that, right? When, and I just want your honest opinion about this, right? When it come down to anime in general, there are, I was talking to someone about this a while ago where someone who I grew up with, right? They loved anime, like back when I was 15, 16, they loved anime to the core. Every time I go over to his house, anime. Anime, anime, that's all he did, right? So it's like, you know, looking at someone else, do you feel like anime can turn you down that dark road, far as with the pedophilia and, you know, predators and stuff like that? I feel like, oh my God, my brother would love to have this conversation with you. I swear he would. I wish I can bring him on, but my brother's not really into social media like that. Because me and him talk about this all the time. And he's even gotten to arguments with people who love lolly characters and stuff like that. Like, I don't know if you know what lolly characters are. They're basically, yeah, like lollycons and stuff like that. I feel like... Those traits was already in a person, but they're trying to make an excuse of it because it's normal in another area. And so you'll have those characters like, I'm 5,000 years old, but I look like a five-year-old girl, right? And then you'll have certain people who will justify that because an anime's plot is telling them like, while she does it like a 10-year-old girl, she's actually 20,000 years old and that has been living for generations. And now me, I don't really care about that stuff. I don't care if she's if she looks 10 and she's 50,000 years old, as long as the only purpose she's known is is protecting a country or she's a princess or a queen or something like that. That's cool. But if we're getting to this point, while the reasons why we're giving her that that lore is because we're trying to justify her being with an adult. This looks like 10 times her age. You stop me there. But then you'll have anime fans who love that stuff because they're basement dwellers. They don't have no lives, they don't get no girls. They got body pillows, they watch like VTubers, they're sweaty. Oh damn! Basement Dwellers, the guy. Oh, I heard it all. I'm just saying, because it's just like this. There's no reason you should be liking stuff like that. There's just no reason why you should be sitting here praising somebody that looks like a child. If you show me like my, your anime crush is Anya from Spy Family or something like that, I'm calling the police. I'm calling the police. yeah. I totally agree on that statement. It's like, going back to Dragon Ball, right? So we got OG Dragon Ball. You know how OG Dragon Ball loves sexualizing, know, fiends in that show. But going over to Z, they didn't really do so much. because now it's like, it's more serious. It's more as we're gonna give you action. We're not gonna give you as much comedy because we wanna make you like the show. cause like OG Dragon Ball, well, it started off as serious then it got to committee aspect. Then they got back when Goku got a little older, they got back serious. You know, when he fought King Piccolo and Tien and all. everybody else but when it transitioned to Z they wasn't sexualizing Bulma like that it wasn't sexualizing um oh I get butcher for uh dang what's her name girl the uh who used to be with Roshi yeah lunch you know they used to sexualize lunch you know so it's like you know looking at that Dragon Ball had it moments in the series where they did that, but they wasn't focused on that like other animes are, you know, so it's tolerable to watch Dragon Ball and know, well, I like it because it's action packed or because it has a good lore and story to it instead of watching the anime that draws you to it because of the sexuality in the actual show. Now I feel like with that, with Dragon Ball, I agree it's very uncomfortable to see Bulma, who was underage at that time, use her body to get the Dragon Balls. Of course, that's why said anything, anything fanservice always makes me uncomfortable. But I feel like with Dragon Ball, it wasn't like the main focus. Like it wasn't like The whole entire show was about Bulma being like showing her thing to everybody to get Dragon Balls. You know what I mean? Like it happened for a moment. It was very uncomfortable. And then, you know, they kind of went on with Goku and his adventure. The entirety of OG Dragon Ball was not about Bulma being promiscuous and showing her privates. While that was a very uncomfortable thing to see what she did with Master Oshi. I feel like it was just, again, like I feel like they try to use stuff like that for comedic relief. And I never really But again, it's like that's over like what they do in Japan and they transfer that over to the states and you know the West and we just kind of accept it. But for me, like I said, I'll never be OK with seeing underage people, underage children doing things like that. But with OG Dragon Balls, like I didn't even know anything about that until I had to go back and watch OG Dragon Ball because I started with DBZ. And like you said in DBZ, Bulma was not promiscuous like that. At that time she was already with But Vegeta, she was older, she had trunks. And again, like even early Z, we just saw her on Roshi's Island. There was no type of fan service at all. I don't even think DBZ has a lot of fan service in it. That was really all OG Dragon Ball. So I didn't grow up watching Bulma like that. And, know, OG Dragon Ball came out in the 80s. That's before my time. So you really had to go back and see that version of Bulma. But again, if you were to tell me like, what is your most memorable moments in OG Dragon Ball? It wouldn't be Bulma showing her thing. It would be Goku fighting Piccolo or the Budokai Tenkaichi, you know, the tournaments and stuff like that. that's not a major plot thing in Dragon Ball, opposed to when you first watched the first episode of Dondodon. I'm watching Lil Girl Get Raped. Yeah. what I mean? Like, that's crazy. That's the whole show to me. I don't need no answer for that. Somebody was like, what's the problem? She got saved. Yo, that's wow. I couldn't believe what I was asking. Somebody in my replies on Instagram said that to me. I screenshotted it. I had this, because I felt like he would want to erase it. It's in my phone right now. I swear I was going to make a video on that. He was like, what's the problem? She got saved. I was like, we're cooked. This is why I stay in the house. I stay in the house, honey. But people with that mindset, I'm like, yeah, y'all are cooked. Y'all are brainwashed in the normalizing essay. I'm like, it couldn't be me, honey. Okay, okay, so for the last Dragon Ball question, because I don't want to get you bored of Dragon Ball, because I know we're going end it soon, but if you could find all seven Dragon Balls, let's just say if you was in the story of Dragon Ball right now, Bulma, Black Bulma, if you collect all seven Dragon Balls, who and why would you wish for them back? Mmm... Hmm... Anybody that's not already alive. Honestly? I don't know if I would use the Dragon Balls to bring anybody back to life. Simply because I don't really know anything about that, about the afterlife or what's going on. You know what mean? So every time someone's asking me about what I would wish on the Dragon Balls for it, my answer is I will always wish for all black people to thrive. That's literally what I wish. I said the same thing on the last podcast I was on in the previous one. I was like, Bardock can wish for his son to thrive, I can wish for all Black people to thrive. So it's always my wish. Anytime I'm asked, it's like I wish all Black people would thrive. Okay, okay. So going forth, things can you, what advices or, you know, things you can give to the viewers today?
